Honey biscuits

Ingredients

  • 120 g Parnon Poèma honey (any type is suitable)
  • 100 ml Parnon Poèma extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 egg
  • 320 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 cardamom pods
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • A pinch of powdered cloves

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a deep bowl and beat them with a mixer or a whisk.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls, approximately the size of walnuts, and coat them in powdered sugar.
  3. Arrange the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring some space between each cookie.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven for 10 - 12 minutes at 180°C.

Traditional melokouloura (honey biscuits), ideal for the entire family and suitable for young children, with honey from Mount Parnon as a key ingredient. An ideal healthy snack for coffee breaks, the office, or school.
